Posted on: Fri 13 Aug 2010

LEE PROBERT will take charge of Stoke City's opening game of the season against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon.

The Gloucestershire based official refereed 33 games last season, in which he issued 119 yellow cards and seven reds.

He officiated four games featuring the Potters, in which the Club won three, against Blackpool in the Carling Cup, Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane and the 2-0 victory against Hull at the Britannia Stadium in April, whilst he also oversaw narrow 1-0 defeat away at Aston Villa.

His last game saw him take charge of the FA Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium in May, where Barrow beat Stevenage by two goals to one.

Mr Probert will be assisted by Dean Mohareb and Cerri Richards, with Graham Salisbury being named as the fourth official for the game at Molineux.
