TONY PULIS today forecast a frantic 12-day period of transfer activity before the summer window closes as he looks to freshen up his squad.
Stoke City's manager hopes to bring in at least another four new players to bolster certain areas of the team following the club record £8 million capture of Kenwyne Jones last week and the £2.75 million signing of Jon Walters yesterday.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday's visit of Champions League qualifiers Tottenham Hotspur, Pulis said: "While I am delighted that we have got Kenwyne and Jon on board now, we still have a lot of business to do
"We still want to get at least four players in before the transfer window closes, if we can, because I feel that we need to change it around.
"We have irons in a number of fires at the moment, but as we all know it takes a lot of hard work to get the right ones at the right price."
He added: "If we succeed in signing the players that we want, then that will open the door for others currently in the squad to leave the club."

Pulis revealed that Jones has a "fighting chance" of being fit for the meeting with Harry Redknapp's side at the Britannia Stadium.
The Trinidad and Tobago international is undergoing treatment on minor ligament damage to his right ankle after he sustained the injury just 10 minutes into his debut for the club against Wolverhampton Wanderers last Saturday.
"I went for a jog with him yesterday and he has been doing some light work again today, so we will have to see if there is any reaction to that," said Pulis. "He has a fighting chance of being ready but we won't take any risks if he is not right."
