- Eidur Gudjohnsen first came to English football in 1998 when he signed for Bolton Wanderers. He'd previously had spells with PSV and two Icelandic clubs -
- After impressing over two years at the Reebok Stadium, he joined Gianluca Vialli's Chelsea for £4,000,000 -
- Five hugely successful seasons at Stamford Bridge followed, with the Icelander picking up two Premier League titles and a League Cup under Jose Mourinho -
- Gudjohnsen then switched Stamford Bridge for the Nou Camp in 2006 and played alongside the likes of Lionel Messi, Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto'o at Barcelona -
- His three year spell with the Spanish giants ended perfectly with Eidur going on to lift the Champions League trophy in 2009 after defeating Manchester United -
- A move to Monaco followed last summer and he's pictured above in action against former Chelsea team-mate Claude Makelele -
- His talent has been highlighted at the Britannia Stadium before with his goal for loan club Spurs helping them to a 2-1 win here in March -
