- After beginning his career in his home town with Notts County, Jermaine became the most expensive trainee ever when Arsenal paid £2,000,000 for his services at the tender age of 15. -

- He made several first team appearances for the Gunners before going out on loan to Watford twice -

- He spent the 2003/04 season with Leeds United and enjoyed regular first team football as they battled against relegation. He's pictured above celebrating for them with former Stoke skipper Dominic Matteo -

- He then returned to Highbury the following season and played against the Potters in an FA Cup game -

- He impressed enough during his time at St Andrews for Liverpool to come calling. He made 80 appearances for the Club and also won the Community Shield with them -

- Last summer saw him switch Merseyside for Spain with a free transfer move to Real Zaragoza -
