STOKE CITY have submitted their 25-man squad for the first half of the Barclays Premier League campaign . . . and confirmed the squad numbers for their new signings.
Eidur Gudjohnsen will wear the number seven shirt, Marc Wilson number 12, Salif Diao retains the number 15 he previously had and Jermaine Pennant wears number 16.
New rules for the 2010-11 season means that all Premier League clubs have to register a maximum of 25 players today following the closure of the summer transfer window.
One notable absentee from that City squad is Mamady Sidibe who is in the early stages of a long recovery from a snapped Achilles tendon which will sideline him until the New Year.
The names which manager Tony Pulis submitted fell well within the new guidelines that require clubs to include at least eight players who are classed as home-grown.
Changes can be made to the squad when the transfer window re-opens in January.
The 25 man squad is:
Asmir Begovic, Danny Collins, Rory Delap, Salif Diao, Matthew Etherington, Abdoulaye Faye, Ricardo Fuller, Eidur Gudjohnsen, Danny Higginbotham, Robert Huth, Kenwyne Jones, Carlo Nash, Jermaine Pennant, Danny Pugh, Ryan Shawcross, Thomas Sorensen, Tuncay Sanli, Ryan Shotton, Tom Soares, Michael Tonge, Jonathan Walters, Glenn Whelan, Dean Whitehead, Andy Wilkinson, Marc Wilson.
