Stoke City's Premier League 4 Sport project is part of a nationwide initiative to encourage young people to participate in 4 Olympic Sports - Volleyball, Table Tennis, Badminton and Judo.
The project was launched in May 2009 where almost 100 pupils from schools involved in the project participated in a demonstration event at the Club's Academy Dome.
Professional representatives from all four sports were involved in the launch and assisted in raising the profile of the four sports at local level.
Premier League 4 Sport aims to use the power of the Premier League and all 20 of the clubs in the league in the 2008/2009 season, to encourage participation in a range of sports not traditionally associated with football.
The project combines the expertise of the Premier League, the Youth Sport Trust and the four Governing bodies of each sport with the local excellence of the Premier League clubs.
16 Stoke City satellite clubs were launched throughout North Staffordshire and are open to all young people aged 11-16.
