Liam first joined City from Sunderland in November 2006 and has played a massive part in the Club's success over the last few seasons.
The 27-year-old has been a regular on the right side of midfield since his £500,000 move to the Britannia Stadium and is a popular figure in the dressing room and on the terraces.
He was named the fans' Player of the Season after scoring 15 goals in our promotion campaign, but a bizarre ankle injury -he tripped over his dog - saw him miss most of last season.
The former Mansfield star started the final 13 games, though, and his excellent form for City saw him win his first Republic of Ireland cap in May 2009.
