The Club beat the midnight deadline during the Summer 2008 Transfer Window to secure the signing of highly rated Sheffield United star Michael Tonge for a fee of £2,000,000.
The 25-year old midfielder has agreed a four year deal at the Britannia Stadium to become the club's tenth signing of the summer.
Tonge, who has made over 250 appearances for United, has gained a reputation as one of the most talented players outside the top flight.
