The well liked striker suffered injury heartbreak again in August, having snapped his Achilles tendon in his ankle which has threatened to prematurely end his 2010/11 campaign.
Sidibe, who has played an instrumental role in the club's rise up the footballing pyramid over the past four years, had only been back in action for seven months following another long term injury lay-off which lasted almost a year.
The Mali international featured heavily for the Potters during the second half of the 2009/10 campaign, making 19 top flight appearances and scoring two goals, and his hopes of building on that this time around were diminished as he pulled up with the injury against Spurs in the first home game of the season.
