Robert Huth completed a £5,000,000 transfer from Middlesbrough to join the Club in August.
The German international agreed a deal that could eventually rise to a Club record £6,000,000.
His career got underway under the watchful eye of Claudio Ranieri at Chelsea, where he made his debut for the Blues as a 17 year-old against Aston Villa.
The highly rated youngster then found himself propelled to the fringes of the Italian's star-studded squad, where he was predominantly used as back up to the likes of John Terry, William Gallas and Ricardo Carvalho.
Somewhat surprisingly, new boss Jose Mourinho allowed him to complete a £6,000,000 move to then Premier League rivals Middlesbrough in the summer of 2006, despite previously waving away the advances of Bayern Munich.
His career in the North East didn't get off to the best of starts as Robert suffered an injury which restricted him to just a handful of appearances during his maiden campaign at the Riverside Stadium.
However, he bounced back in the most amazing fashion and cemented himself as an integral part of 'Boro's' backline alongside England Under 21 star David Wheater, therefore putting himself back in the frame for an international recall.
Last season saw Robert make 28 appearances for Gareth Southgate's side, including featuring in both games against the Potters. And although he maintained his impressive form throughout the campaign, it wasn't enough to retain Middlesbrough's top flight status.
He made his debut for the Potters when he came on as a substitute in the win over Sunderland.
