Nathaniel is one of City's most promising youngsters and was handed his first professional contract in January 2009.
A strong and quick left footed player, Wedderburn is a comfortable in both midfield and defence.
He impressed in 11 appearances on loan at Notts County last season and will now hope to make the step up to City's first-team squad after being a regular in the reserves for a couple of seasons.
