Despite finding himself out of the side at the start of last season Danny bounced back to play a hugely important role in helping the Potters build on their success of the 2008/09 season.
Another player who is in his second spell at the Club, the former Sunderland man won back his spot in the first team and remained a mainstay in the backline for the duration of the campaign putting in a number of superb defensive displays.
He also showed his prowess at the other end of the pitch with crucial strikes against Leyton Orient in the Carling Cup and a memorable volley against Blackburn in the Premier League.
