Begovic Makes Potters Debut
STOKE CITY'S new goalkeeper Asmir Begovic will make his debut for the Club tonight in the Barclays Premier Reserve League game against Arsenal at Nantwich Town's Weaver Stadium this evening.
The £3.25million deadline day signing from Portsmouth, who was on the bench for the Premier League match at Wigan Athletic on Tuesday night, is named in the reserve line-up for the game against the Gunners.
Also included in the side are Uruguayan international Diego Arismendi, midfielder Amdy Faye and central defender Andrew Davies.
Mark O'Connor's side are currently seventh in the Reserve League South Table having taken eight points from their first seven matches.
Victory for the Potters tonight will see them leapfrog West Ham United, and move to within five points of second-placed Arsenal with two games in hand.
All of the remaining home matches in the Reserve League are to be played at Nantwich this season including those which were originally scheduled for the Britannia Stadium.
City: Begovic, Sinclair, Hedley, Arismendi, Cohen, Davies, Lund, Faye, Wedderburn, Moult, Urwin. Subs: Vickers, St.Louis-Hamilton, Stockhall, Jackson, Mitchell.
*The match will kick off at 7.00pm and entry is free to Stoke City season ticket holders, on production of their season ticket booklet. Otherwise, ticket prices for the game are just £3 Adults and £1 Concessions.
