STOKE CITY face a double header tonight . . . with their second string also in action as they take on Chelsea in the Barclays Premier Reserve League at their Cobham Training Ground.
Adrian Pennock will deputise for Reserve Team Manager Mark O'Connor, who will be on duty at Turf Moor, and as expected he has named a youthful line-up for the Chelsea clash.
With the exception of England Under-19 star Nathaniel Wedderburn, Pennock has a full squad of Academy scholars at his disposal.
The likes of Dave Parton, whose late penalty save ensured the Under 18s a 1-0 win against Wolves at the weekend, Matt Cohen and Warwick Alexander will all start against the Blues this evening in London.
Leading goalscorer Louis Moult will be an absentee though as he is in Tony Pulis' first team travelling party to Burnley.
Former Academy Director Steve Holland, who is now the reserve team coach for the Blues, has confirmed he will name a strong line-up for the match.
Former Middlesbrough goalkeeper Ross Turnbull will start in goal after being an un-used substitute against the Potters in the FA Cup on Sunday, whilst England Under 21 star Daniel Sturridge, French star Gael Kakuta and Fabio Borini are all expected to be named in the starting eleven.
Supporters are reminded that tonight's game is to be played behind closed doors, however, the full match will be screened live on Chelsea TV from 7pm.
CITY (4-4-2): Dave Parton; Craig Sinclair, Ryan Connor, Matt Cohen, Alex Hedley; Tom Urwin, Rodney McDonald, Nathaniel Wedderburn, Danny Stockhall; Cameron Mitchell, Warwick Alexander. Subs: Zack Foster, Nicky Jackson, Jack Harrison.
