ASMIR BEGOVIC will line-up against his former club Portsmouth when Stoke City complete a Barclays Premier Reserve League South double header at Nantwich this evening.
Begovic, who completed a £3.25 million transfer from Pompey on transfer deadline day in January, is included in a reserve side that also features defender Andy Wilkinson.
The Potters drew 1-1 with Portsmouth last week when Matthew Lund fired them into an early lead only for Danijel Subotic to reply for the home side shortly afterwards.
On that occasion, City fielded a very young side, whereas there is a more experienced look to this evening's line-up with the likes of Amdy Faye, Andrew Davies and Louis Moult joining Begovic and Wilkinson for the match against their south coast club.
CITY: Begovic, Hedley, Wilkinson, Mitchell, Cohen, Davies, Lund, Faye, Moult, Pugh, Nicholls. Subs: Sinclair, Parton, Jackson, Vickers.
PORTSMOUTH: O'Brien, Ryan, Sowah, Bopp, Ward, Mantyla, Hurst, Cuvelier, Subotic, Kilbey, Nlundulu. Subs: Ciftci, Goddard, Stockford, Navas Alors.
*The reserve match kicks off at 7.00pm this evening.
