STOKE CITY have reported that the progress of the Clayton Wood Training Ground development is bang on schedule for a summer completion.

Contractors are now a quarter of the way into the construction programme and as these latest pictures show, the new complex is starting to take shape.

Recent progress of the development has included the start of the brickwork, the laying of the concrete floor on the first floor and the internal layout of the building beginning to emerge within the state-of-the-art training facility.

The new Clayton Wood complex will include nine changing rooms, gymnasium, hydrotherapy suite, medical facilities, kitchen and refectory, media suite, laundry and offices for the football management and administration.

In addition to the main building, there will be ancillary buildings to support the training ground site such as a groundsman's store and the necessary car parking for the building occupants and visitors.

The plan is to move into the new facility next summer before the players return for pre-season training ahead of the 2010/011 season.
