STOKE CITY Football in the Community, often referred to as Stoke City Community Programme, was founded in 1989 and became a registered charity in 2004.
We use the power of sport, particularly football, to engage with people of all ages, abilities and social backgrounds. We are committed to inclusion work, promoting health and wellbeing, and improving education.
As well as providing sporting opportunities for young people to pursue and enjoy a more active lifestyle, our programmes stimulate a more positive outlook for others in need of encouragement and support, regardless of their economic status or physical ability.
We are devoted to the community we serve.Within our catchments of; Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle, Staffordshire Moorlands, Stafford, South Staffs and parts of North West Shropshire, we contact, and attempt to benefit the lives of, approximately 150,000 children and young people each year.
Self-funding and financially independent of Stoke City Football Club, Stoke City Football in the Community is accountable to a Board of Trustees.
These include Stoke-on-Trent South MP Robert Flello and Denis Smith, maker of over 400 City appearances between 1966 and 1982.
