Working With Schools

With around 350 schools in our catchment areas, Stoke City Community Programme greatly values the strong links we have made so far.

However, we are constantly looking to increase the amount of work we do with local schools.Should any school wish to take advantage of our services, they will be made most welcome.

Here are some of the products we currently offer for schools and education providers:-

Planning, Preparation, & Assessment (PPA)

Our FA qualified coaches offer teachers the unique opportunity to manage their PPA time, while providing pupils with engaging, beneficial sessions that will enhance the school's curriculum.

The Community Programme can offer either half or full day support that will fulfil units of the PE national curriculum.Alternatively, we can tailor our support to suit the school's needs. Our standard prices are £80 per half day, or £125 per full day.

In addition to football, our staff are qualified to deliver the following sports:

·Tag-rugby

·Hockey

·Cricket

·Indoor Athletics

·Tennis

·Rounders

It has been a great compliment to us that the majority of schools who originally booked this service, when we piloted it five years ago, continue to use us to date.

Sponsored Penalty Shootouts

Sponsored Penalty Shootouts are joint fundraising events. All money raised will be shared equally between the School, and the Community Programme.

The children are encouraged to persuade family and friends to sponsor their five penalties.

In return for collecting the sponsors the young people can win a range of gifts and prizes that are then given out in assembly to everybody who have took part. Prizes include autographed balls, match tickets, and an autographed shirt.

Educational Stadium Visits

Schools and colleges are welcomed to book trips to the Britannia Stadium, which we tailor to their specific interests.

All visits feature a general tour of our grounds, including pitchside, changing rooms and trophy room.

The remainder of the day is dictated by the visitor's request. For example, we can mould visits to focus on our media or marketing departments, with talks from relevant members of staff.Alternatively, visits can include practical football sessions at our Academy Dome.

Prices are £3 per pupil for a half day, and £5 for a full day.

After School Programme

A very successful programme, which has run since our inception in 1989. The After School Programme sees community coaches deliver a set of challenging disciplines, usually over a six-week period. Sessions are designed to give baseline knowledge of various sports, with a strong emphasis on children enjoying themselves.

Our coaches are qualified to deliver a wide range of sports, based on a schools needs and requests.

This service costs £2.50 per child for an hours coaching.

For more information on any of these services, or to book, call 01782 592 177.Or email our Schools Liaison Officer via warren.leat@stokecityfc.com
