REGARDED by many as the latest goalkeeping talent to emerge from Denmark, Jakob Haugaard has already sampled life at the very highest level.
Arriving in England from Midtjylland in 2015, and following in the footsteps of the likes of Peter Schmeichel, Kasper Schmeicher and Thomas Sorensen, Haugaard was handed his first-team opportunity last term with both Jack Butland and Shay Given ruled out through injury.
The 24-year-old displayed tremendous mental attributes to deal with being thrust straight into top-flight action and will have undoubtedly learned from his five league appearances.
He remains back up to Butland, and possibly Given this season, but has already shown that when he is called upon he boasts all the traits needed to make an impact in the eleven.
