ONCE tipped for the very top by his fellow peers, Lee Grant has been forced to wait for his chance in the Premier League.
A somewhat surprise loan capture from Derby County on transfer deadline day in August, Grant was fast-tracked to first-team duties to cover for the absent Jack Butland.
With over 300 Championship appearances under his belt, the 33-year-old impressed in his top-flight debut as the Potters were held to a 1-1 draw by West Bromwich Albion in September.
That momentous occasion for him came just three days after being handed his Stoke City bow against Hull City in the EFL Cup.
Undoubtedly a talented stopper, Grant will be eager to press for more competitive action during his spell in ST4 which ends in the New Year.
