Stoke City have completed the signing of Demeaco Duhaney on a short-term contract, the Club are pleased to confirm.
The 22-year-old right back has put pen to paper on a contract committing him to the Potters until January and becomes the Club’s seventh capture of the summer transfer window, which closes at 11pm.
Manager Michael O’Neill said: “Demeaco has spent a couple of weeks on trial with us and we have liked what we’ve seen.
“He will provide good competition for Tommy Smith and has an opportunity between now and January to secure a longer-term contract with us.”
Duhaney started his career in Manchester City’s Academy alongside Tyrese Campbell and was a regular in their Under-18 and Under-23 sides.
In 2018, he joined Huddersfield, where he was a teammate of Smith’s. He made his debut for the Terriers in a Premier League win over Wolves in 2019 and went on to make a further 19 senior appearances for the Yorkshire club.
He follows Ben Wilmot, Sam Surridge Jack Bonham, Mario Vrančić, Leo Ostigard and Romaine Sawyers in arriving at the bet365 Stadium during this transfer window.
