Bruno's Delighted With City Return

Bruno Martins Indi

BRUNO MARTINS INDI admits he is delighted to be back after completing a long-protracted move to the bet365 Stadium.

The Dutch international put pen-to-paper on a five-year agreement with the Club after the Potters and FC Porto shook hands on a near £7M deal on Friday morning.

Speaking shortly after his signing was announced, the 25-year-old said:  “I am feeling very good, I am happy to be back and ready to fight for my place.

“It’s been one year of negotiations but finally we are there now and all three parties are happy with the solution.

“I experienced the Premier League last season, and I understand it better now, so hopefully with the help of my teammates I will be a better player this season."

“Now though, I just want to get back out on the field, give 100 percent and help my teammates to achieve special things on the pitch.”

Martins Indi’s arrival is the Club’s fifth of the summer following the earlier captures of Darren Fletcher, Josh Tymon, Kurt Zouma and Maxim Choupo-Moting.

Several players have also departed the bet365 Stadium too, giving the balance of the squad a somewhat different feel.

“Football is like that, some players will leave and others will come through the door - that is normal,” he added.

“We have some different players here now but we still have the same end goal, which is to be as successful as we can.”

Martins Indi will wear the same number 15 jersey as he wore during his season-long loan at the bet365 Stadium last term.
