Down To Business

Peter Coates, Paul Lambert, John Coates, Tony Scholes

PAUL LAMBERT has officially begun work as Stoke City’s manager.

The Scotsman was in the stands at Old Trafford last night as his new charges were beaten 3-0 by Manchester United but today marked his first day as the new Potters boss.

After a photocall at Clayton Wood with John and Peter Coates and Chief Executive Tony Scholes, Lambert was shown round the training base and was introduced to members of the Club’s backroom staff.

He will oversee his first training session with the first team squad at lunchtime – although it will largely be a recovery session for those who were involved in last night’s game in the North West.

Lambert is then due to have further meetings with Club staff before being officially unveiled to the media at the bet365 Stadium at 3pm.

Stoke City+ will have his first broadcast interview as manager later today, along with exclusive footage from his first training session.

We’ll also have full coverage of his first press conference as City boss across all our official channels.
