Eltringham in Charge

Geoff Eltringham

GEOFF ELTRINGHAM will be the man in charge of Stoke City’s home date with Ipswich Town on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

It will represent the second time this season he has refereed matches involving the Potters and the Tractor Boys.

Eltringham was the man in the middle when Gary Rowett’s men drew 2-2 with Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough back in September, and the following month he oversaw Ipswich’s 2-0 home defeat at the hands of QPR.

In total, he has reffed 17 games so far this season – 12 in the Championship, 2 in League One and the Carabao Cup and one in League Two. He has issued 52 yellow cards and three red cards.

He will be assisted on Saturday by Graham Kane and Mark Jones, with Anthony Backhouse acting as fourth official.

Tickets, starting at £25 for adults and £8 for Under 11s, are available for Saturday’s game. They can be purchased from the bet365 Stadium Ticket Office, online at scfcdirect.com or by calling (01782) 367599.
