Bruno Martins Indi

BRUNO MARTINS INDI really should not need any introduction to Potters fans following his successful season-long loan spell at the bet365 Stadium last season.

The Dutch international swapped Porto for North Staffordshire in a temporary deal and wasted no time in making an impact at The Club.

FULL NAME: Rolando Maximiliano Martins Indi
DATE OF BIRTH: 8 February 1992
HEIGHT: 6ft 1in
POSITION: Defender

Martins Indi made 35 Premier League appearances for the Potters last season while on loan at the bet365 Stadium.

He scored his only goal for the Club against the eventual Premier League Champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on New Year’s Eve. He cancelled out Gary Cahill’s opener to make it 1-1 but Chelsea eventually ran out 4-2 winners.
Martins Indi has played his career amongst the defensive line, but was spotted while playing for amateur side Spartaan 20 where he played as a striker.

At 25-years-old the defender already has a wealth of international experience, making 34 appearances for Holland and scoring two goals.

In 2013, Martins Indi was named in UEFA's All Star squad for the European Under-21 Championships after starring in the tournament for the Netherlands.

He made his World Cup debut in a 5-1 victory over then reigning Champions Spain in 2014, a tournament where the Dutch finished third.

Martins Indi joined Feyenoord's first team squad as an academy graduate at the start of the 2010/11 season. He made his professional debut for the Dutch side in August 2010.

During his time at Feyenoord, he played under the tenure of Everton boss Ronald Koeman and made a total of 120 appearances.

He joined FC Porto in July 2014 and scored his first goal for the club in a 2-1 win over S.C. Braga.
