International Recognition For Edwards

Tom Edwards

TOM EDWARDS has been named in the latest England squad ahead of their U20 Elite League clash with Germany later this month.

The Potters youngster made his debut for Paul Simpson’s side earlier this season and will be eager to receive further international honours when the Three Lions play host to the Germans at Colchester United’s Jobserve Community Stadium.

The 19-year-old has impressed in Gary Rowett’s starting line-up in recent weeks, helping the Potters backline register clean sheets in the two fixtures against Bristol City and Middlesbrough.

England currently sit fourth in the current Elite League table having accumulated seven points from their opening four fixtures of the campaign.

Victory over Germany on Monday, November 19 (7pm) could see them elevate their opponents, Portugal and Netherlands up into first place.
