Oliver Awarded Terriers Clash

Michael Oliver

MICHAEL OLIVER will be the man in the middle when Stoke City host Huddersfield Town at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday.

It will be the second time Oliver has officiated a Premier League game involving the Potters this season, with the first coming in the 1-0 away victory at Watford back in October. Coincidentally, Oliver also oversaw the Terriers’ 4-1 victory at Vicarage Road earlier in the season.

Oliver has been in charge of 24 games this season, with 19 of those coming in the Premier League, three in the Champions League, one in the Emirates FA Cup and a solitary World Cup qualifier. The Northumberland born official has so far dished out 97 cards, with 92 of those being yellow and five red.

His most recent appearance came in the Premier League clash between Crystal Palace and Burnley last weekend when the Eagles ran out 1-0 winners at Selhurst Park.

Assisting Oliver on Saturday will be Scott Ledger and Mick McDonough, with Neil Swarbrick acting as fourth official.
