One Big Family

Early Bird - 169 - Tickets

“You get to meet different people all of the time and it’s just like being part of one big family.”

Those are the words of lifelong supporter Richard Cowley who has renewed his Season Card for the 2019/20 campaign.

The Bishop’s Itchington based fan has once again signed up for next season at the bet365 Stadium with just a few weeks remaining of the Early Bird period.

Season Cards, which have been frozen in price for the 12th consecutive season, are currently on sale at the Early Bird stage until Tuesday 2nd April at iamstoke.co.uk and the bet365 Stadium Ticket Office.

Richard, 60, who has supported the Club since the 1970s and regularly makes the 170 mile round trip with family members on matchdays, says that the decision to renew his Season Card for yet another campaign was an easy one to make as he remains supportive of the Club he loves.

“It was about nine years ago that I first bought a Season Card and I’ve had one ever since, I just don’t like missing games. I just love coming every week,” the Boothen End supporter expressed to stokecityfc.com

“My wife and I had a mortgage and four kids so it wasn’t until they were a bit older that I could start coming back on a regular basis and I just love it.

“My kids and grandkids have all been up to games with me over the years, even my wife has been a few times.

“You get to meet different people all of the time and it’s just like being part of one big family.”

Richard added: “My uncle lived in Luke Street in Burslem and he brought me to my first game on 9th April 1972 against Leeds United and I’ve supported the Club ever since.

“As I mentioned I’ve passed on the bug to the family. My eldest lad is 34 now and I remember taking him to his first game against Birmingham City in 1992.

“We went to Wembley against Stockport County later in that season and then the following year we started go together on a more regular basis, and now I come to as many home games as a I can with my Season Card.”
