Pirates Capture U23s Duo

Dom Telford & Ryan Sweeney

STOKE CITY youngsters Ryan Sweeney and Dominic Telford have joined Bristol Rovers on season-long loans.

The U23 squad members have today linked-up with Darrell Clarke’s squad and could figure in their League One season opener against Charlton at The Valley tomorrow.

Central defender Sweeney spent the second half of last season on loan with Rovers during which he made 16 appearances and produced a string of impressive displays.

Striker Telford played league football for Blackpool – he made 15 appearances, scoring once – before joining Stoke in the summer of 2015.

The Club, who have the option to recall both players in January, would like to wish the pair every success at the Memorial Ground
