Further details surrounding the Potters preparations for the new season…
STOKE CITY will undertake a week-long stay in Northern Germany as part of preparations for the forthcoming 2018/19 Championship campaign.
New manager Gary Rowett and his playing squad will depart for Herzlake, in Lower Saxony, on Monday, July 16 before returning back to the UK the following Sunday.
The Potters will be put through their paces under the watchful eye of Rowett and his coaching staff during the training camp, whilst they are also scheduled to take in a couple of warm-up fixtures.
City, along with lower league outfit, and host club, SV Meppen and recently relegated Bundesliga side Hamburg will feature in a mini-tournament on Saturday, July 21.
All three sides will face off against each other with matches lasting 45 minutes, and including extra-time and penalties, if needed, to determine the winner.
Ticket details and other information for the fixtures will be announced as soon as confirmed.
The Potters meanwhile will return to Germany later in the month as they wrap up their pre-season programme against partner club FC St. Pauli.
The match against the Bundesliga 2 outfit will take place at the Millerntor-Stadion on Saturday, July 28. (Kick off time to be confirmed).
The playing squad are due to report back to Clayton Wood for pre-season training on Wednesday, June 27 ahead of the start of the new season during the first weekend of August.
