Tyrese Scoops Prestigious Award

STOKE CITY’S teenage striker Tyrese Campbell has been named PL2 Player of the Month for February.

Campbell pipped five other players to the prestigious award which is chosen by the Premier League Football Development Panel.

Campbell was in outstanding form for the Potters’ U23 side during February. He scored five times in the month, including a hat-trick against Fulham which earned him a place on the bench for the Potters’ Premier League clash with Leicester.

Paul Lambert handed the 18-year-old his debut at King Power Stadium as he was given a 30-minute run-out.

Also on the shortlist were Lewis Hardcastle (Blackburn Rovers), Reece James (Chelsea), Lewis Walker (Derby County), Tahith Chong (Manchester United) and Marcus Browne (West Ham).
