Stoke City Football Club of the English Football League is looking for a Head of Safeguarding to support its safeguarding operations across Stoke City Football Club.
The Head of Safeguarding will provide leadership in Safeguarding of Children and Adults at Risk, ensuring full compliance across the Club with English Football League and Premier League rules, the FA safeguarding agenda and Government legislation whilst also maintaining key relationships with management, various partner organisations and legislative bodies. You will demonstrate a moral and legal integrity to implement procedures which allow for the care of Children and Adults at Risk, safeguarding their wellbeing and protecting them from abuse and poor practice. In addition to this you will provide, at all reasonable times, a first point of contact for staff, parents, children and, if appropriate, external agencies in regard to information or referral of safeguarding matters within the Club.
The ideal candidate will have a sensitive yet confident manner, have previous experience in a safeguarding role and hold a recognised qualification in safeguarding children or equivalent. Knowledge of the CPSU’s standards in Child Protection in Sport would also be advantageous.
The position is offered on a full time basis. The role requires a high degree of flexibility to cover matchdays, evenings, weekends, public holidays and other adhoc events at the bet365 Stadium as required.
