Abdallah Sima is a tall forward who joined the Club on a season-long loan from Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion at the end of August.
The Senegal international had signed for the Seagulls from Czech champions Slavia Prague just hours earlier for a fee of £7million, with the South Coast outfit loaning him out to assist his acclimatisation to life in England.
He made his debut for the Potters off the bench at home to Barnsley in September, with his first start coming away to Derby County three days later.
Standing at 6ft 2in, the 20-year-old started his senior career with Slavia in 2020 after moving from fellow Czech outfit MAS Taborsko, with a previous spell at Thonon Evian in France’s fifth tier.
Having initially spent time in Slavia’s B team, his impressive return of four goals in just six games earned him a promotion to the senior side in October 2020.
He made his debut off the bench in a 3-0 league win over Slovako, before his first start came just over a month later in a 3-2 victory over Nice in the Europa League, a match in which he also scored his first Slavia goal.
Last season’s Europa League proved to be a happy hunting ground for Sima, as he was a crucial part of Slavia’s run to the quarter-finals, totalling four goals and an assist in nine games.
Domestically, he was also productive, netting his first Fortuna Liga goal in his third game, a 6-0 mauling of SFC Opava, and went on to amass 11 goals and four assists in 21 games.
He also scored the winning goal in the Czech Cup final, as Slavia defeated Viktoria Plzen 1-0 to claim their sixth cup, and third in four years.
A Senegalese international, Sima also made his full debut last season for the Lions of Teranga, starting against Congo in Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in March, and has since represented his country on a number of occasions.
