Bio
Born and raised in Crewe, Nick Powell joined his hometown club when he was just five years old.
His impressive displays at the Alexandra Stadium prompted then Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson to part with £6 million to secure his services.
A flurry of loan moves away from Manchester followed before his release from Old Trafford allowed the 27-year-old to join up with Wigan Athletic.
Twenty-nine goals in 99 appearances followed with the Latics, and his impressive displays at the heart of the midfield paved the way for his move to the Potteries in the summer of 2019.
The playmaker has since become an integral part of the team, going on to record similar numbers in a red and white shirt.
