Goalkeeper puts pen-to-paper...
CHARLOTTE CLARKE has become the first signing of the Chloe Jones era at Stoke City.
The goalkeeper joins from Championship side Leicester City and is set to make her debut in Sunday’s friendly at Barnsley.
Clarke, who has represented England Colleges, expressed her delight having put pen-to-paper.
“I’m really excited to get started and see what the season has to offer,” Clarke said. “Chloe has an amazing vision for the Club and I’m really excited to be a part of that.”
The stopper, 18, joins having made more than 30 appearances for Leicester City's first team and Jones, who landed the Head Coach role last month, spoke highly of her first acquisition.
“As a goalkeeper, Charlotte’s got everything,” Jones said. “She is technically and tactically very advanced with the hunger and desire to continue to learn and develop.
“She has already settled in extremely well with the team and is enjoying being here which is the most important thing. She has a fantastic career ahead of her and I am looking forward to working with her this season.”
