Etebo Answers Super Eagles Call

Oghenekaro Etebo

STOKE CITY midfielder Peter Etebo has been named in Nigeria’s provisional 2019 Africa Cup of Nations squad.

The Potters star, who made 37 appearances for the Club in 2018/19, is one of 25 players selected by the Super Eagles.

Gernot Rohr’s squad will meet up for a training camp at the start of next month, before facing Zimbabwe in a warm-up game on 8th June.

The squad will then be trimmed to 23 players ahead of their final pre-tournament friendly on 16th June against Senegal.

Nigeria will commence their Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a tie against Burundi on 22nd June, before further Group B matches against Guinea and Madagascar.
